Last week I sent out the first invoices to my customers and I am awaiting the transfers.
Having you own company means also that you need to do a lot beside the
daily services and projects for your customers. You need to keep all
papers, invoices, tickets a.s.o. together for the bookkeeper.
Since I quit my former employer
and started for myself, I heard of some ex-colleagues that quit too and
start for themselves, or just leave... like my old manager Martin...
So far I still have a good feeling about the near future. I got an agreement with my current client to stay there until the end of the year.
Beside that I am working on my first product, an Object Database
Management System. I might finish the first version myself and let
develop the next versions in Asia.
I am thinking of starting a development company in Asia, alone or with some possible interested other software developers and solution companies. There is a market for new software and ideas and Asia is just cheaper if you want to invest in software. And there is also demand for certified developers in the Netherlands, maybe we all should invest in a company here too that recruits knowledge workers abroad.
