Mamma mia here we go again
My my how can I resist you...
Last night Kris and I went to the musical Mamma Mia in Utrecht.
I've been longing to see this musical everytime we go to London. But it
is always sold out there and the ticket price is quite high, aound 62
pounds per ticket around 87 euro..pphheewww..it always ended up by
watching another musical which we never regret at all. One day I said
to Kris, I don't care if it's in Dutch I still wanna see Mamma Mia.
Fortunately, the show is not as expensive as in London. It costs 65
euro including return ticket with the train 1st class, a drink and a
free magazine, oh yeah, discount 20% extra if you want to buy some
memorabilia.
So there were we, in Beatrix Theater Utrecht, last night enjoying the
show. The show was really great, even though I didn't completely
understand the whole conversation but I still could enjoy and 'go with
the flow' even bursted into tears..oh..well..it's kind of a musical
comedy anyway..so laugh is a part of the joy
What I like also from
the last night show was the seat we had. I sat directly behind the
keyboard player from the band and the stage was not even 1 meter away
from me..wow!..That was the best seat I've ever had so far in the
musical. I thought sitting in the 16th row when watching Saturday Night
Fever in London was the best, but this one topped that ![]()
The musical is created by Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson from the ABBA group. The show is full of ABBA songs, from mamma mia, dancing queen, chiquitita and many more Yeah..yeah..I know their songs are all in the past but still they're so delightful, if i might say. When hearing the dancing queen, i felt my heart, my legs and my arms were following the beats..
You can dance
You can jive
Having the time of your life
Oohh..Oohh..
See that girl
Watch that scene
Diggin' the dancing queen
